Big Hands for a Big Cheque Presentation

A big donation requires some heavy lifting, so that’s why committee members of the Paul Stafford Foundation, Louise Stafford, Aidan Cronnelly, Joanne Rochford & Nikki Conboy needed some helping hands to present a cheque for €65,000 to, the online youth mental health service. Accepting the cheque with open arms was ReachOut CEO, Elaine Geraghty, and youth ambassadors. This impressive sum was raised at the Paul Stafford Foundation Ball, which took place in November last year in the Mansion House. The foundation was established in 2007 to raise awareness and address the serious issue of suicide in Ireland. Each year the foundation selects a related charity to support through the ball’s fundraising revenue., the online youth mental health service that supports young people through tough times, was selected this year because of the impact of their work in helping young people understand mental health issues and their focus on early intervention and prevention.

Commenting on the donation ReachOut CEO, Elaine Geraghty said, “We are honoured to have been chosen by Paul Stafford Foundation as their charity of choice and the funds raised will go a long way to ensuring that young people in Ireland continue to receive the mental health information they need, when they need it online”.

Adding to this, Louise Stafford said, “We are delighted to be giving this donation. Early prevention is key and we feel that is the ideal platform for this so it will be great to give them much needed funds to continue their good work.”
